Facade Idea

To accommodate the interactive learning and connect inside the space to the outside world - building direct relationship between architecture and nature. I have few references for the facade idea.

1. House in Las Arenas by Javier Artadi
figure 1
I am actually the fan of 'Square-ish' design architecture. I believe that taking the essence of basic shape can provide simplicity and easier understanding of architecture. Thus, it is easier to programmed as well.

House de Las Aranas by Architect Javier Artadi can be one reference of what I am thinking for this design. The picture (figure 1) shows the excessive usage of openings as a facade. The openings are put in the front elevation and the roofing. The overall design looks pretty simple (square-ish) but the openings make it more interesting.

figure 2
The picture (figure 2) shows the openings that gives a wider view to the surrounding. It makes the space looks more spacious. And, it gives some sort of connection feeling, direct relationship with architecture to the outside world. It seems 'naked' between the interface of inside and outside.

The direct relationship also built by the light that come to the space. As light is the part of natural aspect as well.

2. Hudson Park & Boulevard by MVVA
figure 3
Hudson Park & Boulevard by MVVA is actually an Urban Development Competition Entry. The goal is to develop a Urban Context in this case is a park

(figure 3) I like the idea of the gathering space connected with natural aspects such as trees, grass and some other elements. It seems that the social activities on the space is supported by the natural feeling created by the surrounding.

figure 4
(figure 4) it shows that people do lots of activities and shows the diversity of ages, background, gender and background. It is a space for everyone and where can everyone socialize with others.
